Pinar Karsiyaka gets Sipahi on loan
Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir reached an agreement with Fenerbahce Ulker to get playmaker Kenan Sipahi on loan next season, the club announced on Saturday. Sipahi (1.98 meters, 20 years old) averaged 1.7 points in 21 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season, helping Fenerbahce reach its first-ever Final Four. Sipahi started his career with Tofas Bursa, joining Efes before the start of the 2013-14 season. He helped Fenerbahce win the Turkish League title in 2014. Sipahi is also a member of the Turkish national team, but missed EuroBasket 2015 due to injury. He helped Turkey to win a gold medal at the 2013 U18 European Championships and get respective bronze medals at the 2011 U18 European Championships and the 2010 U16 European Championships. Despite his young age, this will be Sipahi's third Euroleague season.
