CSKA adds size with Lazarev
CSKA Moscow reached an agreement with center Ivan Lazarev to work together this season, the club announced Wednesday. Lazarev (2.10 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Ryazan, where he averaged 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in 9 Russian Superleague games last season. He started the 2014-15 season with Zenit St. Petersburg, averaging 4.4 points and 2.7 rebounds in 7 Eurocup games before joining Ryazan. Lazarev has also played for Dynamo Moscow and Triumph Lyubertsy of his native Russia. He helped the Russian national team win a gold medal at the 2014 World University games. Lazarev also helped Triumph reach the EuroChallenge title game in 2014. Lazarev is set to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with CSKA this season.
