French champion Limoges CSP addressed a need at point guard by signing DaShaun Wood, the club announced Tuesday. Wood (1.85 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Tofas Bursa, where he averaged 14.4 points and 4.1 assists in 28 Turkish League games last season. He started his professional career with Pallacanestro Cantu of Italy. Wood has also played for Benetton Treviso of Italy, Deutsche Bank Skyliners and ALBA Berlin of Germany and Le Mans Sarthe Basket of France. He helped ALBA win the German Cup title in 2013 and lifted the French Leaders Cup with Le Mans in 2014. Wood brings Euroleague experience too; he played the 2012-13 Turkish Airlines Euroleague with ALBA, with whom he averaged 9.8 points on 43.2% three-point shooting and 2.5 assists in 23 games. Limoges was in need of point guard help after losing presumed starter Randy Culpepper to injury.
