One day after losing big man Matt Howard to injury, Strasbourg reinforced its frontline by signing power forward Romeo Travis to a six-week deal. Travis (2.01 meters, 30 years old) last played in the Philippines, but he was among the top players in the Eurocup last season. Playing for Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd, Travis averaged 14.4 points, was fifth with 7.2 rebounds and had the second-best average performance index in the competition at 19.0 over 16 games. He was twice named MVP of the week in the regular season. His European career has also taken Travis to Spain, where he played for Ciudad de Huelva; Israel (Barak Netanya and Gilboa Galil), Croatia (Zadar), Ukraine (Khimik Yuzhne) and Germany (ratiopharm Ulm and Walter Tigers Tubingen). Romeo co-starred in an award-winning documentary, "More Than a Game", which recounted his years playing high school basketball in the United States alongside childhood friend LeBron James.
