In an effort to get stronger for the ongoing Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 race, Limoges CSP has announced the addition to its roster of veteran swingman Yakhouba Diawara for the rest of the season. Diawara (2.01 meters, 33 years old) arrives from Cimberio Varese, where he averaged 13.2 points last season despite missing five weeks with an eye injury. He has averaged at least 13 points and 4.2 rebounds in Italian League play with Varese, Venezia and Brindisi over four of the last five seasons. He also averaged 12.1 points and 4.4 rebounds in the 2013-14 Eurocup with BCM Gravelines Dunkerque of France. His French League numbers that season were 11.9 points and 3.5 rebounds over 13 games. After attending two American universities, Southern Idaho and Pepperdine, Diawara started his pro career in his native France with Dijon. He moved to Climamio Bologna in the middle of the 2005-05 season and made his Euroleague debut averaging 5.8 points and 4 rebounds over five Top 16 appearances. He spent the next four seasons in the NBA with Denver and Miami, averaging 3.5 points in 187 games. Diawara returned to Europe with Enel Basket Brindisi of Italy in 2010.
