Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul reach an agreement with combo guard Scottie Wilbekin, the club announced Tuesday. Wilbekin (1.88 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Philadelphia of the NBA, where he played until this month. He started the 2014-15 season with Cairns Taipans, where he averaged 15.2 points and 4.3 assists in 32 Australian League games last season. Wilbekin went on to play for AEK Athens of Greece, averaging 8 points and 3.9 assists in 9 games. This is his second season as a professional career, as Wilbekin finished his college career the University of Florida in 2014. He averaged 13.1 points in 34 NCAA games in the 2013-14 season, helping the Gators win the SEC Tournament. Wilbekin is set to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with Darussafaka against CSKA Moscow this week if registered in time.
