Aaron Jackson underwent reconstructive surgery to repair broken bones in his face, CSKA Moscow announced Wednesday. The operation, which was deemed a success, was conducted in Jackson's native United Sates and lasted five hours. Jackson will not be permitted to fly for another two weeks, after which he will return to Moscow to be re-evaluated by the CSKA medical staff, which will recommend further rehabilitation strategy. The injury was suffered when the 29-year-old point guard was hit with an elbow by Grigory Motovilov of Zenit St. Petersburg in the VTB League game between their teams two weeks ago. Jackson, in his fourth season with CSKA, is averaging 6.9 points and 2.9 assists in almost 21 minutes per game this season.
