Olympiacos Piraeus bolstered its froncourt by signing big man Hakim Warrick for the remainder of the season, the club announced Wednesday. Warrick (2.06 meters, 33 years old) arrives from Melbourne United, where he averaged 14.2 points and 6 rebounds in 23 Australian League games this season. He has also played for Torku Konyaspor of Turkey, Liaoning Jiebao Hunters of China, as well as Memphis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Phoenix, New Orleans and Charlotte of the NBA. He averaged 9.4 points and 4.0 rebounds in 526 NBA regular season games over eight seasons. Before that, Warrick helped Syracuse University win the NCAA Tournament title in 2003. Warrick is now set to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with Olympiacos.
