Road to Berlin: Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Gasteiz

Opening statement: In its home opener, Laboral worked overtime and defeated Olympiacos Piraeus 96-89 for its first win of the season behind Ioannis Bourousis’s career-high 28 points.

Defensive muscle: In Round 4 of the Top 16, Laboral held CSKA to a season-low 71 points in a 10-point victory. Bourousis flexed his muscle with 19 points and 13 rebounds as Laboral started a five-game winning streak.

Spanish treats: Laboral's back-to-back road wins over the traditional chiefs of Spanish basketball, 78-81 in Round 5 at FC Barcelona Lassa and 68-77 a week later at Real Madrid, sent a message heard loud and clear throughout the league.

Bertans takes care of business: Laboral’s second win over Madrid came in dramatic fashion, as Davis Bertans hit a three-pointer with 2.3 second left for an 89-88 triumph in Round 13 that clinched home-court advantage in the playoffs.

Back in the high life again: Riding the red-hot Darius Adams and his 24 points, Laboral went on the road in Game 3 of the playoffs to beat Panathinaikos Athens 74-83, sweep the series, and return to the Final Four for the first time since 2008.
