Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul reached a new agreement with combo guard Mehmet Yagmur to keep working together next season, the club announced Tuesday. Darussafaka keeps an option to extend his deal until the end of the 2017-18 season. Yagmur (1.88 meters, 28 years old) averaged 4.7 points and 1.6 assists in 13 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season, boosting his numbers up to 5.5 points in the Top 16. He has also played for Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir, Besiktas Istanbul, Tofas Bursa, Turk Telekom Ankara and Olin Edirne before joining Darussafaka in 2014. Yagmur said Besiktas win three titles - Turkish League, Turkish Cup and EuroChallenge - in the 2011-12 season. "I am very happy to continue being a part of this organization since its return to the Turkish first division. It is extremely valur for me," Yagmur said. "It is also very important for me to work with a world-class coach like David Blatt," he added.
