Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul bolstered its backcourt by signing point guard Bradley Wanamaker. The announcement was made Thursday by Ibrahim Kutluay of the club’s executive board at a press conference to welcome new coach David Blatt to Istanbul. Wanamaker (1.93 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Brose Baskets Bamberg, where he played in the last two seasons and led the team to back-to-back German League titles. He was named MVP of the finlas after both triumphs. Wanamaker also helped Bamberg reach the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 last season by averaging team highs of 12.2 points and 4 assists in 24 games. Wanamaker started his career with Barca Tercas Teramo of Italy. He has also played for Atlanta of the NBA, Forli and Georgio Tesi Group Pistoia of Italy, Austin of the D-League and Limoges CSP of France. He helped Austin win the D-League title in 2012 and also lifted the French Supercup trophy with Limoges in 2013.
