CSKA Moscow bolstered its froncourt with the addition of center James Augustine, who inked a one-year deal with an option for another with the reigning Turkish Airlines Euroleague champion on Monday. Augustine (2.08 meters, 32 years old) arrives from cross-town rivals Khimki Moscow Region, where he averaged 11 points and 6.7 rebounds in 23 Euroleague games last season. He led the 2015-16 Euroleague in two-point percentage (68.8%), ranking 4th in offensive rebounds (2.56 orpg.) and 7th in performance index rating (16.8 per game). He helped Khimki win its second Eurocup title in 2015. Augustine started his career with Anaheim of the D-League and has also played for Orlando of the NBA, as well as for Gran Canaria Las Palmas, Valencia Basket and UCAM Murcia of Spain. Before that, Augustine helped the University of Illinois reach the NCAA Tournament final in 2005. He brings in three seasons of Euroleague experience - one with Valencia, two with Khimki - in which Augustine accumulated 405 points and 283 rebounds in 53 games.
