Real Madrid re-signs veteran forward Maciulis
Real Madrid reached a new agreement with small forward Jonas Maciulis to work together for the next two years. Maciulis (1.98 meters, 31 years old) averaged 4.7 points on 82.8% free throw shooting in 25 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season. He arrived to Madrid in summer 2014, helping Los Blancos win every title available - Spanish Supercup, Spanish Copa del Rey, Spanish League, Intercontinental Cup and above all, the club's first Euroleague title in 20 years. Maciulis also lifted the Copa del Rey trophy and Spanish League title last season. Maciulis has accumulated 1,565 points and 642 rebounds in 188 Euroleague career games. He also led Zalgiris to the first-ever International Junior Tournament title in 2003. He helped both Zalgiris Kaunas and Panathinaikos Athens to win back-to-back domestic doubles - league and cup titles - he did it with Zalgiris in 2007 and 2008 and with Panathinaikos in 2013 and 2014. Maciulis has also played for Nevezis and Baltai in Lithuania, as well as for EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and Montepaschi Siena in Italy. He lifted the Italian League trophy with Siena in 2012. Maciulis is also a regular member of the Lithuanian national team, helping it win the bronze medal at the 2010 FIBA World Cup and three EuroBasket medals - silver in 2013 and 2015, bronze in 2007.
