Greek powerhouse Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens made another veteran addition to strengthen its roster for the upcoming season by signing former Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion, swingman K.C. Rivers. Club announced on Sunday that the deal is signed for one season with an option to extend it for another. Rivers (1.96 meters, 29 years old), who won EuroLeague title with Real Madrid in 2015, at Panathinaikos reunites with center Ioannis Bourousis who was also a member of Madrid’s 2015 title-winning team. Rivers arrives from Madrid where he spent the second part of last season after starting last campaign with FC Bayern Munich. Playing EuroLeague regular season for Bayern he averaged 10.8 points on 43.1% three-point shooting. With Madrid during the Top 16 and the playoffs he posted 6.7 points and 1.5 rebounds. This will be fifth EuroLeague season for Rivers who also played with the Russian side Khimki Moscow Region in the competition. During his pro career he also played for Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar in Russia, Reno of the D-League, Virtus Bologna, Associazione Basket Latina and Benetton Treviso in Italy and Chorale Roanne in France.
