Fenerbahce Istanbul added two valuable players to its roster by inking small forward James Nunnally and center Ahmet Duverioglu, the club announced Thursday. Nunnally (2.01 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Scandone Avellino and inked a one-year deal with an option for another season. He was chosen as the Italian League MVP last season, averaging 18.4 points on 90.8% free throw shooting, 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 40 games. He took Avellino to the Italian Cup final and the Italian League semifinals. Nunnally started his career with Enosi Kalathosfairisis Kavalas of Greece and also played for Bakersfield of the D-League, Phoenix, Atlanta and Philadelphia of the NBA, Cangrejeros de Santurce of Puerto Rico, Estudiantes Madrid of Spain and Maccabi Ashdod of Israel. Nunnally will make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Fenerbahce in the 2016-17 season. Duverioglu (2.09 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Anadolu Efes Istanbul and inked a three-year deal. He averaged 1.9 points and 1.2 rebounds in 10 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season, in which he helped Efes reach the Turkish League finals and win the Turkish President Cup. Duverioglu has also played for Pertevniyal Istanbul.
