Veteran forward Pat Calathes signed with Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens, where he will again team up with his younger brother, Nick Calathes. The older Calathes previously suited up for the Greens in the 2011-12 campaign. Pat Calathes (2.08 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Astana of Kazakhstan, where he played the past three seasons. He averaged 12.5 points and was fourth in the VTB United League with 8.2 rebounds per game last season. Pat Calathes also played for Kolossos Rhodes and Maroussi in Greece and Maccabi Haifa in Israel, which he led to the 2013 Israeli League championship. Calathes also won the 2012 Greek Cup with Panathinaikos and a pair of Kazakh League titles.
