Real Madrid announces Othello Hunter
The week started with a new face in the Spanish capital as Real Madrid announced in the morning the addition of big man Othello Hunter from Olympiacos Piraeus. Hunter (2,03 meters, 30 years old) played in 22 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season with the Reds, averaging 9.4 points and 6.0 rebounds. He was the seventh best rebounder overall in the Top 16 with a total 89. Before his two seasons in Olympiacos, Hunter had made his debut in the top European stage with Montepaschi Siena of Italy. He played college ball in Ohio State until 2008 and after that, he played with the Atlanta Hawks but soon moved to Greece to join Ilysiakos Athens. In 2010 he landed in Italy for the first time to play with Dinamo Sassari and later he also played in China, Ukraine and Spain for the first time with Valladolid, before joining Siena in 2013. The deal between Real Madrid and Hunter is for two seasons.
