Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul added another veteran weapon with the signing of forward Emir Preldzic, who enters his 10th EuroLeague season. The sides agreed to a two-year deal. Preldzic (2.06 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul, where he averaged 4.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 20 EuroLeague games last season. He is best known from his eight-year run with Fenerbahce Istanbul, during which he played in 152 EuroLeague games, won five Turkish League titles, three Turkish Cups and took part in the club’s first appearance in the EuroLeague Final Four. Preldzic began his career with the youth teams at Celik Zenica in Bosnia-Herzegovina and played for both Triglav Kranj and Slovan Ljubljana in Slovenia before signing with Fenerbahce at age 19. He enters this season ranked 18th on the EuroLeague career charts with 502 assists.
