Fenerbahce Istanbul will be without one of its top performers for the final stretch of the regular season, after point guard Kostas Sloukas suffered a knee injury that will keep him out for an extended period of time. Sloukas is expected to have surgery on his left knee this week, which is expected to keep him sidelined 4 to 6 weeks, the club announced on Tuesday. The point guard has posted 10.2 points this season, shooting three-pointers with a 50% accuracy, and leads the team with 4.5 assists. 27-year old Sloukas is in his sixth Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season, having won a pair of EuroLeague titles with Olympiacos Piraeus, and helped Fenerbahce reach the EuroLeague championshp game last season.
