Greek powerhouse Olympiacos Piraeus and All-EuroLeague forward Georgios Printezis reached an agreement on a contract extension for three more seasons, the club announced Wednesday. Printezis (2.05 meters, 32 years old) is a veteran of 14 EuroLeague seasons, 12 of which have come wearing the Reds' jersey. A two-time EuroLeague champion, Printezis is coming off one of the best EuroLeague seasons of his career, during which he helped the Reds make another championship game by leading the team with 12.8 points, on 40.3% three-point accuracy, and also pulling down 5.1 rebounds per game. Last season was the fourth time in the last six years that Printezis and Olympiacos played in the game that decides the continental champion. Printezis will forever be Reds’ hero for his iconic last shot against CSKA Moscow in the 2012 Final Four that lifted Olympiacos to EuroLeague glory, and he helped the team win it all over again a year later. During his career, Printezis's only time away from Olympiacos was two seasons he spent with Unicaja Malaga from 2009 to 2011. He has played exactly 200 EuroLeague games for Olympiacos, and is now set to add to that tally in seasons to come.
