Anadolu Efes, Batuk reunite on multi-year deal
Anadolu Efes Istanbul signed Birkan Batuk, who returns to the club after one season away. The contract is for two seasons with an option for a third. Batuk (1.96 meters, 27 years old) played for Efes from 2012 through 2016 before spending last season with Darussafaka Istanbul. He averaged 2.7 points and 1.7 rebounds over 32 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games for Darussafaka in addition to 7.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in the Turkish League. Batuk grew up with Ulker Istanbul and also played for Alpella Istanbul, Tranzonspor and Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir before joining Efes. He helped Efes win the Turkish Cup in 2015 and has played for the Turkish national team at the junior and senior levels.
