Olympiacos Piraeus added more depth to its frontcourt with the signing of power forward Jamel McLean, the club announced Wednesday. The contract is for two seasons. McLean (2.03 meters, 29 years old) is the fourth new addition this summer by the Reds and third in their front line after they brought in center Georgios Bogris and power forward Kim Tillie. McLean arrives from EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, where he spent the past two years. He helped Milan win the 2016 Italian championships and a pair of Italian Cups in that period. Last season McLean posted 8.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 30 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games. Prior to Milan, he spent three seasons in Germany, first with Telekom Baskets Bonn and then with ALBA Berlin, where McLean made his EuroLeague debut in the 2014-15 campaign. He has appeared in 61 games in the competition with career averages of 10.5 points and 4.7 rebounds. McLean started his professional career in Belgium, first with Lueven Bears and later Telenet Ostend.
