Khimki Moscow Region signed power forward Anthony Gill to a two-year deal, the club announced Thursday. Gill (2.03 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Turkish side Yesilgiresun Belediye, with which he made his professional debut last season and posted 14.4 points and 6.9 rebounds for an average performance index rating of 17.7. Both his rebounding and index rating were among the top 10 in the Turkish League. He played college basketball before that at the University of South Carolina for one season and at the University of Virginia of three.
"Anthony is a very promising prospect," head coach Georgios Bartzokas said in a release. "At the same time he is a player who always does whatever it takes to help the team. He is versatile and can play both the four and five positions. Also, he is highly motivated to achieve wins and titles."
