Khimki Moscow Region bolstered its frontcourt by inking power forward Malcolm Thomas to a two-year deal, the club announced Thursday. Thomas (2.06 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Jilin Northeast Tigers, where he averaged 20 points and a competition-best 16.4 rebounds in 37 Chinese League games last season. He started his career with Mobis Phoebus of South Korea and also played for Los Angeles, Santa Cruz, Austin and Rio Grande of the D-League, Houston, Golden State, Utah, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia and San Antonio of the NBA, Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv of Israel, Piratas de Quebradillas of Puerto Rico and Meralco Bolts of the Philippines. Thomas already played in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague back in the 2012-13 season, averaging 4.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 15 games with Maccabi.
