Unicaja Malaga has a new man to orchestrate its offense after reaching a one-year deal with point guard Ray McCallum, the club announced on Tuesday. McCallum (1.91 meters, 26 years old) played for Grand Rapids of the D-League last season, where he averaged 17.6 points, 7.0 assists, 5.8 rebounds and 2.2 steals over 42 games. In the past four seasons since turning pro, McCallum has played for Sacramento, San Antonio, Memphis and Detroit in the NBA, and in 154 career games has averaged 6 points, 2.4 assists and 2 rebounds. He has played for Reno and Austin in the D-League in that period, too. Now, in his first stint in Europe, McCallum will be making his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut.
