Olympiacos signs big man Wiltjer
Olympiacos Piraeus moved to fortify its frontline by signing power forward Kyle Wiltjer for the rest of the season. Wiltjer (2.08 meters, 25 years old) split time last year between Houston of the NBA, with whom he appeared in 14 games, and Rio Grande Valle of the D-League. Prior to that, Wiltjer spent two seasons each with Kentucky University and Gonzaga University, ending his school career with 13 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Wiltjer follows his father, Greg, into played pro basketball in Europe. The elder won a Cup Winners Cup with FC Barcelona in 1986 and played in the second Final Four of the modern era for Aris BC of Greece in 1989.
