Khimki Moscow Region will be without forward Anthony Gill for the next three-to-four weeks after undergoing abdominal surgery. Gill complained of pain in the area on Sunday and was taken to the hospital, where he was diagnosed and a decision was made on surgical intervention. Gill will remain hospitalized for several days before he begins a rehabilitation period, which could last up to one month. Gill, 27, is in his first season with Khimki. He comes off his best game – a 20-point, 7-rebound outing in a road win against Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz. He is averaging 9.7 points and 3.8 rebounds in six Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games this season.
