FC Barcelona Lassa learned on Friday it is likely to finish the regular season without the services of one of its most consistent performers, forward Adam Hanga. The EuroLeague’s reigning Best Defender Trophy winner suffered a left knee injury during the team’s Round 24 road loss at Zalgiris Kaunas on Thursday night. Hanga is expected to miss the next four to six weeks due to the injury, which could mean that he does not appear in another Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season game. Hanga had started 23 games this season, averages 25 minutes per game – the most of all Barcelona players – and has posted 8.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2 assists per contest. Barcelona is close to being mathematically eliminated from the playoff race, sitting with league’s second-worst record, 7-17, after having lost seven of its last eight games.
