Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens and Stephane Lasme will reunite this season for a second stint together after the first produced great success for both sides. Lasme (2.03 meters, 35 years old) played for the Greens from 2012 through 2014 during which he led the club to back-to-back Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoff appearances and a pair of Greek League and Cup doubles. He was also recognized for his individual efforts in those seasons; Lasme was named the EuroLeague Best Defender in 2013, chosen to the All-EuroLeague Second Team in 2014 and selected as the 2013 Greek League MVP. He comes from UNICS Kazan, where last season Lasme was one of the best players in the 7DAYS EuroCup with 14.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and a competition record 2.5 blocks per game over 19 appearances. He has also played for Partizan Belgrade, Maccabi Tel Aviv Anadolu Efes and Galatasaray Istanbul, with which he won the 2016 EuroCup title, was named Finals MVP and to the 2016 All-EuroCup Second Team. Lasme enters his sixth season in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague ranked eighth on the all-time charts with 160 blocks.
