As announced by the club officially on Wednesday, forward Janis Timma will be playing with Olympiacos Piraeus for the next two seasons. Timma (2.01 meters, 26 years old) arrives from KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz, where last season he played 33 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games averaging 7.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in over 23 minutes on the court. Timma started his career in his native Latvia and made his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with VEF Riga in 2014. After that, he moved to Russia with Zenit St Petersburg, where he played for two years before joining Baskonia last summer, in time for his big breakout season in Europe.
