Baskonia announces Shavon Shields

Right after announcing the departure of Janis Timma on Wednesday, KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz announced his replacement in guard Shavon Shields, who signed a contract with the team for two seasons. Shields (2.01 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Dolomiti Energia Trento of Italy, where last season he was one of the leaders of the team in the 7DAYS EuroCup. In that competition, Shields played 14 games, averaging 11.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals in over 26 minutes. Shields played college ball in Nebraska from 2012 to 2016 and moved to Europe for his pro debut with the Fraport Skyliners of Germany. This will be Shields' debut in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague.
