German League champ FC Bayern Munich is preparing its comeback to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, and in doing so it announced the addition of guard Petteri Koponen to a three-year deal on Tuesday. Koponen (1.94 meters, 30 years old) arrives from FC Barcelona Lassa, where he spent the last two seasons. In Barcelona, Koponen averaged 7.9 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 29 EuroLeague appearances last season. It will be his fifth EuroLeague season as he had also played twice with Khimki Moscow Region, where he spent a total four seasons. Before playing in Russia, Koponen emerged in the European scene as one of the main stars in Virtus Bologna of Italy from 2008 to 2012. Before that, he had played with Honka of his native Finland from 2004 to 2008.
