Olympiacos Piraeus reinforced its backcourt ahead of the Top 16 by signing guard Acie Law for the remainder of the season, the club announced on Friday. Law (1.90 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Partizan mt:s Belgrade, where he averaged 12.7 points, 3.4 assists and 1.2 steals in the regular season. He was also worth 9.2 points and 2.5 assists in 13 Adriatic League games before leaving the club last month. This Law’s first season in Europe. He previously played a total of 180 NBA games over four seasons with Atlanta, Golden State, Charlotte, Chicago and Memphis. Law enjoyed a standout college basketball career at Texas A&M University. He graduated as the Aggies' all-time third leading scorer (1,669 points) and also ranked third in assists (545). He averaged 18.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 5 assists and 1.1 steals in 34 NCAA games in the 2006-07 season - his senior year. He was chosen to the All-Big 12 Conference first team that year as one of four finalists for the Naismith Trophy.
