Ladislav Sokolovsky - CEZ NymburkCEZ Nymburk kept getting ready for the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds by re-signing veteran shooter Ladislav Sokolovsky to a one-year deal on Monday. Sokolovsky (2.00 meters, 34 years old) is set to start his ninth season with the team. He averaged 1.3 points in 11 Eurocup games last season, helping Nymburk to reach the Quarterfinals for the second time in club history. Sokolovsky is a living legend in the Czech League, as he has won the competition 11 times - an all-time record. He lifted the Czech League trophy three times with Opava and won eight consecutive titles with Nymburk - from 2005 to 2012. Sokolovsky has also won nine Czech Cup trophies in his long career. He has also been a member of the Czech Republic's national team. "It is better to play at the highest level and with a good team atmosphere. It is obviously better to play for a team that fights for each and every win," Sokolovsky said. "I am not the kind of player who likes to change clubs. I played in Brno for three years, was in Opava for six years and this will be my ninth and last season with Nymburk. Three clubs in 18 years are not too many. I have a house in Nymburk, my family and friends live here. I settled down in this city."
