Besiktas JK Istanbul found a force for its frontline in Euroleague veteran Gasper Vidmar. The big man arrives from fellow Istanbul side Fenerbahce Ulker, for whom he averaged 4.1 points and 2.6 rebounds in 15 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season. Vidmar (2.10 meters, 24 years old) first signed for Fenerbahce in 2007 and has been there ever since spare a loan period at Union Olimpija in the 2009-10 season. He has totaled 65 Euroleague games over five seasons between the two teams. A native of Slovenia, Vimar played for Slovan Ljubljana before moving the Fenerbahce. Over his time in Turkey, Vidmar has won three Turkish League and one Turkish Cup title. He also won the Slovenian Cup in 2010 with Olimpija. Vidmar has been a member of the Slovenian national team.
