Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv announced late Saturday that it has signed point guard Ramon Sessions to a three-month contract with an option for the remainder of the season. Sessions (1,91 meters, 32 years old) will step into the role of Jeremy Pargo, who remains sidelined with a back injury. He is a veteran of 11 NBA seasons, but will be competing in Europe for the first time. In his NBA career, Sessions averaged 10.3 points and 4.1 assists per game over 691 games for eight different franchises.
"I'm very excited to join Maccabi Tel Aviv," said Sessions to Maccabi's official website. "I've been in the NBA for 11 years and this is the first time I'll play outside the USA. This is without a doubt one of the best teams outside the USA with history, tradition and great achievements. I remember from my years in the NBA that when Maccabi came to play against NBA teams during the preseason everyone spoke only good things. It's a big name when it comes to Europe and I'm looking forward to start."
