
Partizan mt:s Belgrade signed point guard Torey Thomas to a one-year deal, the club announced. Accordingly Thomas (1.80 meters, 27 years old) will make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with the Serbian champs. He arrives from Russian club Spartak Primorye Vladivostok, with whom he ranked fourth in the Russian League in both scoring and assists with 15.9 points and 4.9 assists over 18 games last season. Thomas enjoyed a good college basketball career at the College of the Holy Cross before starting his European basketball career. He arrives at partizan having played professionally for five clubs in four countries over the past five seasons. He debuted in Europe with Akropol BBK in Sweden, then played a season each with Hanzevast Capitals and Matrixx Magixx in the Netherlands before suiting up for PGE Turow Zgorzelec in Poland two years ago and Spartak Primorye in Russia last season. He was named the MVP of the Polish League in 2011 after averaging 13.7 points and 6 assists in 25 regular season games and leading Turow to the deciding game of the finals against Asseco Prokom.
