Darussafaka Tekfen Istanbul announced Tuesday that it has dismissed Ahmet Caki as its head coach. Caki, 43, came to Darussafaka over the summer to fill the shoes of David Blatt, who made history when he captured the EuroCup crown last season. Caki started well with a victory in the team's home opener, but a nine-game losing streak has seen Darussafaka drop to last in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with a 1-10 record. The club is ranked 11th in the Turkish League at 3-6. This was Caki's second stint with the club and he also coached in the EuroCup with ALBA Berlin. Darussafaka is expected to name a replacement shortly.
