Olympiacos Piraeus claimed its fifth win in six games with a powerful 60-69 road triumph at FC Barcelona Lassa on Tuesday, and the inspiration for the Greek giant's success was Nikola Milutinov, who has been rewarded with the MVP award for Round 13. Milutinov was an unstoppable force, registering a huge double-double of 18 points and a career-best 14 rebounds, including 7 offensive boards. The Olympiacos big man also had 2 blocks, 1 assist, 1 steal and 8 fouls drawn for a performance index rating of 36, his new career high and the best of all players in Round 13. After also taking the MVP honor in Round 2, he joins Gustavo Ayon of Real Madrid and Alexey Shved of Khimki Moscow Region in winning the award twice this season. The next-best player was another high-flying big man, Jan Vesely, who registered a PIR of 33 as Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul stayed top of the table with a comeback home win over CSKA Moscow. Last week's MVP, Derrick Williams of FC Bayern Munich, also impressed in his team's road win against AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan, recording a PIR of 30. That was the same figure as Krunoslav Simon, who helped Anadolu Efes Istanbul to a blowout victory over Buducnost VOLI Podgorica. Completing Round 13's top performers was CSKA forward Will Clyburn with a PIR of 26.

Individual leaders: Rodrigue Beaubois, Efes, 22 points

After 13 rounds, the overall index rating leader remains Khimki's Shved, who owns and average PIR of 25.8, but has missed several games now with an injury. The leading scorer on Tuesday and Wednesday was another Efes player, Rodrigue Beaubois, who poured in 22 points in the win against Buducnost. Shved remains the season's top scorer, averaging 25.3 points. Milutinov's 14 rebounds was more than anyone else this round, and he is now dead level with Vincent Poirier of KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz on 7.8 per game to lead the league. The top passer in Round 13 was Mike James, who delivered 8 assists in Milan's home loss to Bayern. Nick Calathes of Panathinaikos OPAP Athens is first in the overall rankings, averaging 7.8 assists. Fenerbahce's Marko Guduric continued his fine form in the win against CSKA by claiming 4 steals, more than any other player in Round 13. Shved leads that category with 1.8 per game. Tibor Pleiss of Efes and Alex Tyus of Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv both blocked 3 shots this week, but Madrid's Walter Tavares remains the competition leader with 1.9 per game. Round 13 saw just two double-doubles: Milutinov (18 points and 14 rebounds) and Vesely (19 points and 10 rebounds).
