Greek champion Panathinaikos OPAP Athens turned its attention to the froncourt on Tuesday by signing big man Jacob Wiley, who made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut last season, for one year. Wiley (2.03 meters, 24 years old) joined Herbalife Gran Canaria midway through the EuroLeague season and posted 10.0 points on 63.3% two-point shooting, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks over seven games. He also tallied 16.5 points on 64% two-point shooting and 5.2 rebounds in 14 Spanish League appearances. Wiley began the season with Adelaide of Australia's NBL, where he averaged 12.2 points and 4.9 rebounds over 28 games. He has also played professionally for Brooklyn in the NBA, Long Island in the G-League, and MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in Germany. Wiley finished his college basketball career at Eastern Washington University as the 2017 Big Sky Conference Player of the Year. He was the second straight future EuroLeague player to capture the award; CSKA Moscow's Joel Bolomboy did so in 2016.
