Guard Edwin Jackson is heading home after signing on to play for his boyhood club, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, next season. Jackson (1.90 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Buducnost VOLI Podgorica, where he averaged 9.8 points on 42.9% three-point shooting and 1.9 assists in 30 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season. He helped Buducnost win the Montenegrin League and Cup double and reach the Adriatic League finals. ASVEL will be Jackson's fourth EuroLeague stop after FC Barcelona Lassa, Unicaja Malaga and Buducnost.
He played in the ASVEL youth ranks and lifted the French Cup with the club in 2008. Jackson also played for INSEP Centre Federal as well as SPO Rouen Basket and JSF Nanterre in his native France; Guangdong Southern Tigers in China and Estudiantes Madrid, with which he led the 2016-17 Spanish League in scoring (21.4 ppg.). As a member of the French national team, Jackson won a bronze medal at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
