Real re-signs Taylor for 3 more years

Real Madrid has locked up small forward Jeffery Taylor through the end of the 2021-22 season, the club announced Friday. Taylor (2.01 meters, 30 years old) just completed his fourth season with the club and has played 123 EuroLeague games for Los Blancos, during which he's averaged 5.2 points and 1.8 rebounds. Taylor has become one of Real's defensive pillars, too, using his size and quickness to match up against opponents at a variety of positions.

Last season, Taylor averaged 12.3 points on 72.7% two-point shooting in Real's playoffs series against Panathinaikos OPAP Athens. He helped the club win the EuroLeague in 2018, thus becoming the first Swedish player to lift that trophy. Taylor helped Real to the Spanish League championship in 2015, 2018 and 2019; captured the Spanish Copa del Rey in 2016 and 2017 and an Intercontinental Cup in 2015. He has also played for Charlotte in the NBA and Austin in the D-League and been a member of the Swedish national team.
