FC Bayern Munich and veteran Vladimir Lucic agreed to terms on a new deal that will keep the sides together for three more years, the club announced Tuesday. Lucic (2.04 meters, 30 years old) has spent the previous three seasons with Bayern. He averaged 10.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals over 29 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season. Lucic also captured a pair of German League titles and one German Cup during his time with Bayern.
Bayern is Lucic’s third club as a professional. He began his career with Partizan Belgrade in his native Serbia and played there from 2009 through 2013. In addition to making his EuroLeague debut, Lucic helped Partizan win five Serbian League crowns, four Serbian Cups and four Adriatic League championships. He signed with Valencia Basket in 2013 and helped the club lift the EuroCup in 2014. Lucic is also a member of the Serbian national team and was on the silver-medal winning squad at EuroBasket 2017.
