Panathinaikos OPAP Athens bolstered its frontcourt by inking power forward Ben Bentil to a two-year deal, the club announced Wednesday. Bentil (2.06 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Peristeri GS Athens, where he averaged 12.3 points and 6.7 rebounds in 35 Greek League games last season. Of his eight double-doubles, three of them came against Panathinaikos. Bentil started his pro career with Fort Wayne of the D-League and also played for Dallas of the NBA, Xinjiang Flying Tigers of China, Champagne Chalons-Reims Basket of France, and Bilbao Basket of Spain. Bentil is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Panathinaikos in the upcoming 2019-20 season.
