Panathinaikos OPAP Athens signed swingman Rion Brown for the coming season with an option for the 2020-21 campaign, the club announced on Friday. Brown (1.98 meters, 27 years old) arrives from EuroCup side Promitheas Patras, which lost to the Greens in the Greek League finals last season. He averaged 10.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game for Promitheas in the Greek League last season. Those numbers jumped to 15.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists in the FIBA Champions League. Brown has also played for Brussels in Belgium, Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel, Kataja in Finland Dijon in France.
