Back where it started
Vladimir Micov made his EuroLeague debut with Baskonia a decade ago, when he was there for the first part of the 2009-10 season.
Winners on the bench
Joan Plaza of Zenit and Ergin Ataman of Efes have both been 7DAYS EuroCup champions. Plaza won the EuroCup twice, in 2007 with Real Madrid and in 2017 with Unicaja Malaga, and Ataman did so in 2016 with Galatasaray Istanbul.
The rebounding king’s record
EuroLeague rebounding king, Felipe Reyes of Real, posted his career-high in offensive rebounds with 8 against Valencia in March 2011.
Maccabi ended its Moscow streak
When Maccabi visited CSKA last season, it stormed to a 76-93 win, thus ending a streak of nine consecutive road losses against CSKA, which dated back to 2004.
Bayern's Nihad Dedovic, Leon Radosevic and Alex King played at ALBA in the past. Dedovic spent the 2012-13 season in Berlin, Radosevic was there in 2014-15 and King played with ALBA for three seasons, from 2013 to 2016. King and Radosevic were teammates with current ALBA player Niels Giffey.
Back at Astroballe
The last time these teams met at Astroballe, Barcelona routed ASVEL 64-90 in January 2010 en route to a 20-2 record and the EuroLeague title. Juan Carlos Navarro led a balanced Barca attack that night with 15 points and Ricky Rubio dished 7 assists.
Former champ visits home
Stratos Perperoglou played for Olympiacos from 2012 to 2014 and lifted the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague trophy with the Reds in 2013. Vassilis Spanoulis, Kostas Papanikolaou and Georgios Printezis remain with Olympiacos from that championship season.
