Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade has reached an agreement with head coach Milan Tomic to terminate his contract, the club announced Tuesday. Tomic, age 46, joined Zvezda in 2018 and has led the team to three domestic titles - the Adriatic League SuperCup, the Adriatic League and the Serbian League - last season. A Turkish Airlines EuroLeague winner with Olympiacos as a player back in 1997, Tomic has led Zvezda to a 1-2 record to open the EuroLeague, and the same record in the Adriatic League. His assistant Andrija Gavrilovic will lead team in Round 4 clash against FC Barcelona. "We are analyzing everything, but not rushing with anything", club president Nebojsa Covic said on Tuesday. "Whoever will be the new head coach will have a full support from everybody in the club. We did not plan this and Milan did not plan this, but this is sports."
