Panathinaikos OPAP Athens added depth to its perimeter by signing guard Andy Rautins until the end of the season, the club announced on Friday. Rautins (1.93 meters, 33 years old) has last played with Bahcesehir Istanbul in Turkey, where he averaged 14.3 points on 44.5% three-point shooting, along with 3.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists in the Turkish League. Rautins started his professional career with New York in the NBA, and has spent a year with Tulsa in D-League. The veteran guard has been playing mostly in Europe since 2011, however, and has worn uniforms of Alicante in Spain, Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt in Germany, Varese in Italy, and also Gaziantep, Tofas Bursa and Banvit Bandirma in Turkey. Rautins has also been a member of the Canadian national team, and he is now set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with the Greens.
