After having rebroadcast all the championship games in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague history in late spring for free to all fans, Euroleague Basketball is resuming its series of more Classic Games, three per week throughout the rest of July and August, as part of the #EUROLEAGUEUNITED campaign.
In a competition that is famous for the fact that every game counts, there have been countless memorable matchups up and down the calendar over 20 seasons. Now, fans can relive some of the greatest matchups ever, from thrillers that went down to the last shot to historical performances by some of the superstars who have made the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague so great!
The new lineup of games tips off on Friday with a classic playoffs encounter from the spring of 2014, when Olimpia Milan hosted Maccabi Tel Aviv in an unforgettable Game 1 of the playoffs. Going forward, Classic Games will be re-aired on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 17:00 CEST on the EuroLeague Facebook page. Fans who follow the page in advance will get a notification when the games tip off. All games will be available simultaneously on Euroleague Basketball's YouTube page and on EuroLeague.net, as well!
All your favorite teams, new and old, will be represented in a roster of games that features many of the great EuroLeague players of the last 20 years. Of course, within the Classic Games series, fans will have the chance to see EuroLeague icons like Vassilis Spanoulis, Juan Carlos Navarro, Jan Vesely, Luka Doncic, and Dimitris Diamantidis, among many others, in the prime of their careers!

Monday, May 18: 2003-04 RS Round 1, Zalgiris vs. Panathinaikos: Arvydas Sabonis returned to the EuroLeague for the first time since 1995 and there was a high expectation in Kaunas. Sabonis, age 39, did not disappoint, and led Zalgiris with 15 point, 9 rebounds and a PIR of 26. Fun Fact: it was Zalgiris legend's Paulius Jankunas first EuroLeague game and he had an outstanding debut: 12 points and 6 rebounds!
Tuesday, May 19: 2013-14 Semifinal: CSKA Moscow vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv: Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv booked its date with basketball history as the then five-time continental champion fought back from a 15-point deficit late in the third quarter to beat CSKA Moscow 67-68. Tyrese Rice’s basket with 5.5 seconds left secured Maccabi a spot in the Championship Game that the Israeli team would win.
Wednesday, May 20: 2015-16 Semifinal: Baskonia vs. Fenerbahce It was Baskonia's first Final Four game since 2008. Fenerbahce was playing in the Final Four for the second year running – and the second time ever. Fener started the game on a 13-0 tear. Thursday, May 21: 2017-18 Regular Season, Round 15: Fenerbahce vs. Real Madrid The 2017-18 season belonged to Luka Doncic, who led Real Madrid to its 10th continental crown while earning EuroLeague MVP and EuroLeague Final Four MVP honors. When he met then-reigning champ Fenerbahce Dogus Istanbul on the road in the final game of 2017, the teenage sensation produced one of his greatest performances.
Friday, May 22: 2007-08 Semifinal: Maccabi vs. Siena
The respective champions of Italy and Israel let it fly in this semifinal showdown in Madrid. Montepaschi Siena set a EuroLeague record with 45 three-point attempts and led by as many as 18 in the second quarter. Maccabi rallied with a 0-13 charge bridging the third and fourth quarters and the game entered the final 2 minutes with the teams all square.
Saturday, May 23: 2018-09 Semifinal: CSKA vs. Madrid
It was the second season in a row that these famous clubs met in the Final Four and it again lived up to the huge expectations. Real led 69-78 with over 8 minutes left behind an inspired Fabien Causeur, who had 18 points in 15 minutes. Nando De Colo scored 10 of his 23 points in crunch time to bring CSKA back and turn it into a thriller.
Sunday, May 24: 2017-18 Playoffs Game 1: Overtime in the cards for Olympiacos vs. Zalgiris opener
After Zalgiris edged Olympiacos in the regular-season finale to set up a playoff duel between them, both teams came into the best-of-five series hungry to start strong. Monday, May 25: 2015-16 Playoffs: Barcelona, Lokomotiv go to OT in Game 4
Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar had its back against the wall in its best-of-five series against FC Barcelona. Down 2-1 in the series, Lokomotiv had to play Game 4 at Palau Blaugrana, where Barcelona is rarely beaten in playoff action.
