ASVEL locks up Strazel through 2025

LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne locked up teenage guard Matthew Strazel by signing him to a new contract through the end of the 2024-25 season. Strazel (1.82 meters, 17 years old) made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with ASVEL last season and averaged 4.0 points on 41.4% three-point shooting and 1.6 assists in 16 games ina reserve roll. He had played for ASVEL's youth teams until last season, in which Strazel became a full member of the French powerhouse's first team. Strazel also shined at the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament Valencia tournament with 20.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists in four games.
